Choices

I'm getting better I guess, only a week and a half between blog posts this time...lol. I so need to work on that!
I need to work on a lot right now! I haven't been on plan for about two weeks. Actually, there were probably a few days in there that I was, but I didn't track, so I don't know for sure. I haven't been exercising either.
In the past, this is where I'd say, I tried and it didn't work and give up.
NOT this time! I promised myself that this is it...this is the time I will succeed. So what if I took a two week hiatus?! This is not a temporary thing. I need to figure out how to get back on plan and keep moving forward. I didn't blow a diet, because I'm NOT dieting. I made some choices that weren't the best. And not to rationalize my choices, but in all reality, they could have, and normally would have, been a whole lot worse. My biggest mistake was not tracking.
I need to see what choices I've made, good and bad. So, since I didn't track, I'm going to list a few that I can think of. There's no rhyme or reason, just as they come to mind.
Good choices:
-took Mo to MCD's twice---once I got a grilled chicken sandwich, small fries and diet soda and once I didn't get anything!
-went to Coldstone with Mo and my cousin's family---I didn't get anything!
-skipped the sour cream on my tacos (ok, this is a teeny tiny good choice, but still, could've been a lot worse)
-took Mo to the park every day during my vacation days--I walked the park while he played, I even played a little with him at the empty park, not brave enough to do it at a crowded one.
-ate 2 point popcorn while my family ate chips for movie night
-skipped soda at my cousin's house
-tracked the last 3 days even though I ate about double the points I should have
-started the day off with oatmeal on my vacation days

Not so good choices:
-brought home KFC instead of cooking the salmon I defrosted---I ate 3 pieces, even before WW, I'd only eat 1 or 2!
-I ate about 6 cupcakes in the 3 days I was off work last week
-cheese, lots of cheese!
-drove to the park even though it'd only be about a 15 minute walk
-bought whole milk, because it was the only Organic gallon milk at the store I went to---I could've gotten 1/2 gallons, skipped Organic or gone to a different store
-went to Arby's with my cousin and didn't even try to make a good choice
-made homemade pizza, which could've easily been a good choice, but killed it with cheese, cheese and more cheese.
-ate out way too much!


So, now I can see some of the good and bad.....it's time to move on. Not tomorrow, not next week. NOW!
I started the day with honey nut cheerios and whole milk. Could've been worse, but still not the best start!
I'm taking Mo to the park with Christy and Tayahna, so I'm sure I'll get some activity in there. I'll take healthy snacks for the drive, since I'm sure I'll be hungry after, and it's about 30 minutes home.....way too many drive thrus will be passed, so I'll be prepared.

This week, I will blog at least once. I will track EVERY day. I will exercise at least 30 minutes 5 days.

On one of the WW message boards I read, someone posted something along the lines of: Staying on plan is hard, being fat is hard, choose your hard.

Simple and direct....that's how I need it.

So, this week, my hard will be staying on plan.
